ALOHA! Staff Appreciation Week Is Coming
We are getting ready to trade the classroom for the coast! From May 4–8, we are celebrating our incredible West Woods staff with a Hawaiian Luau themed Staff Appreciation Week.
Our teachers and staff members are the "ohana" (family) that keeps our school thriving. They work tirelessly to navigate every wave and ensure our students reach bright horizons. Now, it’s our turn to shower them with the warmth and gratitude they deserve!

Staff Appreciation 2025: West Woods Went Who-ville!
PTSA brought the magic of Dr. Seuss’ Who-Ville to West Woods from December 15th to the 19th!
We celebrated the amazing work our teachers and staff do with a week of Grinch-tastic fun and Cindy Lou Who-tiful treats. Their dedication makes our school the very best, and we were so pleased to show our thanks.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to Staff Appreciation Week 2025 (Oct. 6-9)! "Camp West Woods" featured chili, s'mores, a trail mix bar, and fun for our staff and teachers during busy conference week!

Staff Appreciation 2024
What an incredible week of treats for our amazing WWE staff! A huge thank-you to all the families who donated food—our staff loved discovering delicious treats and gifts in the lounge each day.
We also deeply appreciate the families who donated money for gift cards, supporting seven local restaurants. Staff were thrilled to choose their own gift card and were incredibly grateful. Thank you to everyone who made this week so special!

- Red Silo Coffee Company for providing coffee on Monday.
- Mary Keener, a harpist, filled the lunchroom with beautiful Nutcracker Ballet and other holiday music on Thursday.
- Welby Gardens for gifting each staff member a stunning 6-gallon poinsettia to enjoy over the break.

Exciting news: West Woods has a new partnership with Semper Elementary!
On Tuesday, December 17, we had the joy of spreading some holiday cheer to the Semper staff. Thanks to the generosity of our amazing West Woods community, they enjoyed donuts and coffee from Dunkin' along with a thoughtful holiday gift.
We’re thrilled to build this connection and look forward to getting to know them better! If you’d like to help plan future events with Semper, join our new committee.
