Staff Favorite Things

PTSA is excited to share the WWE Staff Favorites Form! This handy tool helps you discover your child’s teachers and staff members' favorite things, making it easy to show appreciation anytime—whether for Teacher Appreciation Week, holidays, or just because! Each form also includes ways you can lend a hand - so if you’re able to offer support, it would be greatly appreciated!

SAC/PTSA Gathering

Since December is a busy month for everyone, we’ll be skipping our PTSA Gathering then, but we’ll be back in January, ready to dive into planning the rest of the year.

Trash Free Tuesday

Thank you, WWE families for helping reduce food and trash waste on Tuesdays! Healthy Schools is noticing a difference in the cafe. If our WWE families replace one throw away item with a reusable one (bento box, reusable zip lock bags/water bottles/thermos, cloth napkin, etc.) and encourage our kiddos to bring home uneaten food to enjoy later (instead of throwing it away) – we will make a huge impact! Check out a cute segment that recently aired on a WWE News broadcast HERE by our very own Wolf Wellness Student Team explaining Trash Free Tuesday! (go to minute 2:41)

Tips to keep in mind while packing lunch on Tuesdays

Do include:

  • Sandwiches in reusable containers
  • Whole fruits without packaging
  • Drinks in containers that can be reused, such as thermos
  • Snacks purchased in bulk and brought in reusable containers

Don’t include:

  • Individually wrapped snacks
  • Plastic baggies that are not reusable - try bees wrap!
  • Disposable forks and spoons
  • Straws

New WWE Turf Installed!

 BEFORE                   AFTER

Over Thanksgiving break, new Astroturf was installed on the west side of the playground! The area is now usable year-round without any issue of muddy or wet conditions. This completes PTSA’s final phase of the Outdoor Learning Environment project. Thank you, WWE families who helped, raise funds, and gave their time over the years to make this happen! WWE students are already loving it and many more students will enjoy it in the years to come!
