PTSA is excited to share the WWE Staff Favorites Form! This handy tool helps you discover your child’s teachers and staff members' favorite things, making it easy to show appreciation anytime—whether for Teacher Appreciation Week, holidays, or just because! Each form also includes ways you can lend a hand - so if you’re able to offer support, it would be greatly appreciated!

SAC/PTSA Gathering

Pumpkin Drop 2023 is Smashingly Fun!

PTSA’s Annual Pumpkin Drop was another fun day watching pumpkins drop and smash -- all to raise funds for WWE's sister school, Slater Elementary -- with more than 100 pumpkins dropped and over $520 raised! Slater Elementary Principal Brooke Tolmachoff and some of her staff were on-hand to watch meet our West Woods community.

A big shout out to Arvada Rent-Alls for donating the scissor lift, Community Farms for taking our smashed pumpkins to help feed their livestock, and we could not do it all without Arvada Fire Captain Tim McMahon to drop the pumpkins and his crew of WWE dads --Tim Dillon, Jason Eaton, Ryan Kvamme and Jeff Sanderson!

In April 2022, WWE donated $2,000 from funds raised during our Pumpkin Drop and Howler Bash to Slater Elementary. The funds will be used to purchase two new basketball hoops for their gym, bins for playground balls and equipment, and purposeful play materials for their kindergartners.

Thanks to our WWE community PTSA donated about 10 boxes of winter items to Slater Elementary! That's in addition to the nearly $1,000 WWE raised at our Pumpkin Drop for them! We estimate around 150 pumpkins dropped and approx. 3,000 lbs!! Way to go WWE!!

Special thanks to Tim McMahon, WWE parent and Arvada Fire Captain for ‘chucking’ the pumpkins, Arvada Rent-Alls for donating the 30’ lift, and our sponsors, Martinez Fire ProtectionVyas Orthodontics and Rocky Mountain CamperVans! Pumpkins were donated to 7th Generation Farms to help feed livestock and for compost.

WWE Works with New Sister School

Fall 2021, PTSA and Principal Katsampes identified Slater Elementary in Lakewood as its new sister school. The team researched local schools that are Title One, provide a high percentage of free and/or reduced lunches to students, and have a need for additional resources.

WWE SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY

PTSA and Student Government Partner Up - May 2022

During ‘Hat Day’ on April 27th, WWE’s Student Government helped raise $847 to support Marshall Fire victims and PTSA voted to match the donation. Nearly $1,700 will be donated to Impact on Education, a foundation that supports the Boulder Valley School District’s staff and students. Its Marshall Fire Relief initiative provides resources to families, including school supplies, mental health support and financial support.

Giving Back To Our Marshall Fire Neighbors

Following the Marshall Fires, WWE PTSA identified initial ways to help support those impacted by the fires. Carrie Cornejo, Principal at Meiklejohn Elementary in Arvada, and her family lost their home to the fire. PTSA voted to donate $500 to the Cornejo family. The Cornejo’s also have a GoFundMe page setup here for additional donations. In addition, Monarch K-8 in Louisville had several staff that were impacted by the fire and has created a MealTrain to provide them lunch. PTSA members voted to and provided their staff with a delicious Qdoba lunch on Jan. 28th.
