Celebrate Summer Birthdays on the WWE Marquee!
Want to give your child a special birthday shoutout? Wish your
student, current, future, or even a recent grad, a “Happy Birthday!” on the West Woods marquee off 72nd Ave. this summer!
Birthday messages rotate on the marquee throughout the day of your choice and cost $20, with all proceeds benefiting WWE Student Government.
To include a summer birthday, be sure to submit your request and payment by Thursday, May 15.
It’s a fun way to celebrate your child and support our school.

WWE Alumni Scholarship Recipients
We’re thrilled to announce the winners of the 2025 West Woods Elementary Alumni Scholarship! With 13 applications submitted, the selection process was no easy task, but three exceptional former students stood out and will each receive a $500 scholarship.
- Congratulations to Addison Pung, who fondly recalled his love for math and learning to play the flute as key memories from his time at West Woods.
- Congratulations to Luke Dantinne, who shared that his time on the WWE News taught him the importance of always being his authentic self.
- Congratulations to Riley Ainslie, who reflected on the impact of West Woods teachers and connected cherished school events to the educators who shaped her.
We are proud of all our applicants and inspired by their accomplishments. Congratulations again to our 2025 scholarship recipients!

Staff Appreciation Wrap Up
What an absolutely beautiful week we had celebrating our incredible West Woods Elementary staff with a charming English Tea Garden-themed appreciation event!
From delicate charcuterie spreads to elegant petit fours, pressed flower bookmarks, local honey favors, and those lovely vintage tea cups, every detail came together to create a heartfelt “thank you” for the people who do so much for our kids every single day.
A huge thank you to the amazing parent volunteers who gave their time, creativity, and care to help make this event so special—we truly couldn’t have done it without you!

Mileage Club Updates! The beloved Wellness Wednesday activity is back! During lunch recess, students can choose to walk, jog, or run the Mileage Club lap course. By participating, they’ll earn fun individual charms and a chance for their class to win the Golden Shoe! No sign-up is needed—just show up and get moving! For more details, check here.
